Lorine Edwards Cook, age 95, of Lumberton passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at The Carrolton of Lumberton. Lorine was born in Robeson County on March 21, 1929 to the late Oscar and Lizzie Rogers Edwards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Rudolph Cook, and brothers: Ray Edwards, John Edwards, and Tanker Edwards.

She is survived by one son, Tommy Cook and wife Patricia; two daughters, Ann Ransom and Wanda Evans and husband Joel; one brother, Gary Edwards (Addie) six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Gertrude Baxley.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC. A funeral service will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton, NC.

A private family burial will be in the Evans Cemetery, Marietta Road in Fairmont, NC.
