Lorenzo Rafael Rivera was born to Rafael Rivera and Juanita Jimenez in the city of Laredo, Texas on May 24, 1948. He moved with his family to Scottsbluff, Nebraska where he attended school.

Lorenzo was brother to Raul Rivera (Riley) Jesus Rivera (Jessie) and wife Patricia, Alejandro Roberto (Bobby) Gauna and wife Julie, and Martha Rivera Kemp (Marty).

He was loving father to Lawrence and Lorenzo Jr. (Cheech) and his wife, Avery and to his beloved daughter, Sarah, and had a special place in his heart for his niece, Madison. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, two grandchildren, his sisters-in-law, Wanda and Sally, his many, many friends, and of course the love of his life, Jenny.

His ascension into Heaven was preceded by his grandparents, parents, and his beloved brother, Riley.

Lorenzo passed away January 12, 2021.
