Lorenza "Lory" Long III, of Conway, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the age of 64.

Born and raised in Florence, South Carolina, Lory earned his diploma from West Florence High School. Lory built a long and meaningful career in vending and service, holding positions at various vending companies including Capital Wine and Beverage, Longs Wrecker Service, Wise Potato Chips, and Grandstrand Sandwich Company, where he retired. Also at Grandstrand, he found his wife Elisabeth and remarried in 2006.

Outside of work, Lory enjoyed the simple things: fishing where there was water, music without the crowds, cruising with the widows down, telling stories about trading paint at the I-95 Speedway, sports, and being an avid gamecock fan.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lorenza Dowe Long Jr. and Jamea Worrell Long, he is survived by his wife Elisabeth Covington of Conway, two children, Lorenza "Loren" Dowe Long IV (Christi) of Florence, Amber Nicole Long of Florence, Stepdaughter Laura Cartrette of Little River, his grands Lorenza "Ren" Dowe Long V, Mac Townsend Long, and Brayden Cartrette, a brother Stuart Long (Ofelia) and sister Kathy Robinson (Ed).
