Lorene Cummings Brooks, age 80, of Fairmont passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Jacobs officiating.

Burial will follow in Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

Ms. Brooks was born February 28, 1937 in Robeson County to the late Julius Cummings and Eva Mae Clark Cummings.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Bowman Brooks, Sr; five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Brooks and special friend Ronnie Seals of Fairmont; two sons, Bowman Brooks, Jr. and special friend Melissa Pittman of Fairmont and Timmy Brooks and special friend Judy Hunt also of Fairmont; three brothers, Carl Cummings of Raynham, Harold Cummings of Fairmont and Wade Cummings of Lumberton; twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
