Mr. Lonnie "Buddy" Bailey, Jr. age 79, of Fairmont, NC, entered his eternal life on Monday, September 5, 2022 at his home. Mr. Buddy was born May 5, 1943 in Robeson County, NC to the late Lonnie Bailey, Sr. and the late Maggie Merritt Bailey.

He loved to fish in his spare time and loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Powell Bailey; two sons, Raymond Bailey and Timothy "Tim" Bailey; a daughter, Lonna Gibson; a grandson, Coty Gibson; and four sisters, Martha Simmons, Laura Barnes, Mary Hodge and Linda Bailey

Mr. Buddy is survived by a daughter, Beth Bailey and husband Zach of Orrum, NC; two sons, Mikey Bailey and wife LouAnn of Hurley, VA and Will Bailey of Fairmont, NC; two sisters, Virginia Caulder of Fairmont, NC and Marie Hayes and husband Larry of Whiteville, NC; six grandchildren: Tyler, Ryan, Cain, Bayleigh, Aubrey, and Paisley; seven great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly; and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Buddy served in the U.S. National Guard; he loved his country and his family.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Thursday, September 8, 2022, from 1:00-3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC. A graveside service will immediately follow at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.
