Loleta W. Prevatte, 91, of Lumberton, N.C., died Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Mrs Prevatte, wife of 59 years to W. Mace Prevatte, was a long standing member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed many years of singing in the choir. Mrs Prevatte had a Business Degree from Flora MacDonald College in 1942. She spent the majority of her career as bookkeeper at Lumberton Senior High School, and as a substitute teacher until the age of 80. Mrs Prevatte loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Mace Prevatte, and son, Hiram R. Prevatte. She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter; Ronald M. Prevatte of Alamo, Texas, Philip L. Prevatte and wife Christa of Easley, S.C., and daughter, Myra Loleta Wilson and husband Rick of Valrico, Florida, eight grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren.
