Mrs. Loleta Edwards Boney, age 93, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on November 6, 1921 to the late Montgomery and Way Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, O. Clint Norment; her husband, John C. Boney; and two brothers: Preston Edwards and Edmond Edwards. She is survived by her daughter, Elsie Odom Leggett and husband, Jimmy, of Lumberton; two grandchildren: Greg Leggett and wife, Julie, of Lumberton and Elaine Leggett of Wilmington; and two great-grandchildren: Brandon Leggett and Brittney Leggett. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southeastern Hospice House, 1100 Pine Run Drive, Lumberton, NC 28358.
