Loelear Stewart Eddings, age 86 of Lumberton, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Robeson County, NC on March 16, 1927 to the late Sun Hunt and the late Mary Magelene Stewart. She previously worked in textiles for Argo of Lumberton. Mrs. Eddings was a faithful and devoted member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church for 59 years. She loved her church, her church family and served her Lord for 63 years. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Carter. Mrs. Eddings is survived by her husband of 70 years, Walter Eddings of the home; daughters, Evelyn Hunt and husband Larry of Lumberton, Mabel Eddings of Lumberton, Myrtis McCluskey of Eagle Creek, OR, Carolyn Carroll and husband Jimmy of Southport, Reba Courtney and Selecia Locklear both of Lumberton; brothers, RM Hunt of Lumberton, FM Hunt of Fairmont and Steve Hunt of Fairmont; sisters, Sara Agnes Hunt of Fairmont, Lillian Sampson, Elsie Hunt, Bonnie Locklear, and Shirley Locklear all of Lumberton; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
