Mrs. Linda Stiles Smith, age 62, passed away Friday, October 03, 2014, at Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton. She was born in Greene County on October 20, 1951. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Annie Gaskins. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Norman Smith, of the home, four sons, Tim Beddard and wife, Lori, of Ayden, NC, Samuel Smith and wife, Monica, of Savannah, GA, Christopher Smith, of San Diego, CA, and Michael Smith and wife, Amy, of Nashville, TN, a daughter, Jan Thatcher and husband, Andy, of the home, two brothers, Silas Gaskins, of Walstonburg, NC, and Carl Gaskins, of Vanceboro, NC, two sisters, Shirley Olsen, of Grifton, NC, and Wanda Evans, also of Grifton, NC, and ten grandchildren.
