Linda Hunt, age 69, of Proctorville, NC passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

Linda was born May 1, 1955 in Robeson County to the late Charles "C.W." Hunt and the late Nona Oxendine Hunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Tony Hunt, Roger Hunt and Mickey Hunt; a sister, JoAnn Hunt.

Linda was a faithful member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served as an usher and was assistant song leader. She was employed by Converse Shoe Company before its closing.

She is survived by a son, Shawn Hunt and his father, Alvin Lowery, Linda's faithful companion of forty-four years; two brothers, Melton Hunt of Lumberton, NC, and Glen Hunt of Fairmont, NC; one sister, Cheryl Owens of Rowland, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 427 Gaddy Road, Fairmont, NC. A funeral service will immediately follow in the church at 3:00 PM with Pastor Howard Jacobs officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
