Linda Carol Huggins Hunt, age 70, of Lumberton NC passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at her home. Linda was born January 24, 1954 in Robeson County to the Late Earl Bowman Huggins and the late Rose Ann Locklear Huggins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Baby Boy Hunt, and two sisters, Esterline Huggins and Carrie Mae Hunt.

Linda was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where she served in many capacities. She loved spending time with her family and was very devoted to her church before her declining health. She would always greet you with a smile. If you knew her, you knew that her greatest love was, "The Love of Jesus".

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Melton Hunt of the home; a son, Melton Hunt, Jr. (fiancé, Kim) of Lumberton, NC; two daughters, Melodie Hunt and Mallorie Hunt Buckner (Derrick) both of Hope Mills, NC; seven grandchildren, Brandy Burton, Landen Hunt, Makayla, Darius and Jeremiah Buckner, Dakota and Destiny Hunt; one great grandchild, Natalie Burton; one brother, Earl Cranston Huggins of Fayetteville, NC; five sisters, Emma Jane Locklear, Lillie Jane Hunt, and Laura Liles all of Lumberton, NC, Earlene H. Hunt of Fairmont, NC, and Donnie Rose Herring of Fair Bluff, NC,; and a host of several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, 198 Pleasant View Church Road, Fairmont, NC.
