Linda Elaine
Bouchard
Nov 22, 1952 — Apr 5, 2025
Lumberton
Linda Elaine Bouchard of Lumberton, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 5th, 2025 at the age of 72. Linda was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 22, 1952 to Ellen (Marie) Henningan Pettit and the late Robert Pettit.
Linda was a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After high school, she proudly served in the US Air Force which introduced her to her life-long career in the medical field. She worked as a nurse and health care professional until her retirement. Prior to living in Lumberton she spent over three decades in the St. Louis, Missouri area with her husband, Mike, and their three children, Cian, Candace, and Corinne. She wouldn't hesitate to share stories about her children to anyone in earshot, and that tradition lived on when she became a grandma and great-grandma. She was an avid crafter, making everything from costumes for her kids' dance competitions, to hand-crocheted afghans for loved ones.
Linda is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Michael Bouchard, son; Cian Bouchard and his wife Genea, daughters; Candace Lounsbury and her husband Adam, and Corinne Bouchard, five grandchildren; Dylan, Kelsey, Kaitlynn, Samie, and John and seven great-grandchildren, mother; Marie Pettit, and sisters; Debbie Andrews, Beth Robertson, and Robin Draper.
We invite you to join our family in celebrating the life of Linda Bouchard. Our mother passed away on April 5th in the home she shared with our father, who was with her at the time of her passing. She had been living with Parkinson's Disease for around 15 years, and although she fought to delay the inevitable as much as she could, we're comforted to know she is at rest, and her soul is at peace.
The details for the event can be found below. This gathering is in place of a more formal funeral service, and meant to celebrate and remember our mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Though we have time frames established, please feel free to come and go as you are able. Both events will be held Friday, April 18th, 2025.
