Ms. Lilly May Ransom, age 68, of Fairmont, NC passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

She was born on April 20, 1958 in Robeson County to the late Luther "Ball" Ransom and the late Joevennie Ransom.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Celie Ransom; and three brothers, Windy Ransom, James Luther Ransom, and David Grant.

She leaves to cherish her memories her companion of thirty-five years, Herman Holden, Jr., two sons, Joseph Ray Ransom and Patrick Lynn Strickland, both of the home; two brothers, Tommy Ransom of Lumberton, NC and Ronnie Ransom of Arizona; two sisters, Ronda Kay Oxendine of Lumberton, NC and Linda Faye Ransom of Fairmont, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, across from the funeral home.
