Ms. Lillian Ruth Pridgen, 79, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Lumberton, NC on May 29, 1942, to the late Gaston Layton Pridgen, Sr. and Eva Sessoms Pridgen.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith Bledsoe Lovette (Dennis) and Erma Pridgen Hester (Roosevelt); and a brother, Glenn M. Pridgen, (Janis).

She is survived by three sisters: Betty Pridgen Rogers (Neal) of Lumberton, NC, Carolyn Pridgen McLean (Vernon) of Grayson, GA, and Judy Pridgen Bullard (Rod) of Winston Salem, NC; two brothers, G. L. Pridgen (Wendy) and Larry Pridgen (Rachel), both of Lumberton, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and many cherished family members.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at 3:00 PM at the Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 East 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC, with Pastor LeRoy Burke officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Faith Mausoleum, 5190 Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
