Lewis "Sonny" Allen Clyburn, age 86, of Proctorville, NC died at his residence on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 28, 1929 to the late Robert Lewis Clyburn and the late Evelyn Singletary.  He previously worked for Piedmont Airlines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bobby Clyburn.

Mr. Clyburn is survived by his wife, Iva Thomas Clyburn of the home; a son, Allen Clyburn of the home; a daughter, Susanne McLellan (Daryl) of Fairmont; a granddaughter, Krista McLellan; and one great-grandson, Kolby McLellan.

The funeral service will be on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Proctorville Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Proctorville Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be on Friday from 2:00-3:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the church
