(SPC) Levern Hunt, 68, transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, November 17, 2023.

(SPC) Hunt was preceded in death by his parents, James Nick and Minnie C. Hunt; two brothers, Bobby Ray Hunt, Sr. and John Furman Hunt; and one sister, Janet Rose Hunt.

(SPC) Hunt served our country from September 1972 to September 1978 as an Electrician. During this time, he received a National Defense Service Medal, Expert Badge Rifle M16, and Marksman Badge Grenade. After coming home from serving our country, he graduated from Robeson Community College with a degree in Welding – Auto Mechanic and Diesel Engines. He was currently employed by TLC Construction.

Levern is survived by his wife, JoAnn Hunt of the home; his sons: Anthony Wade Jacobs and wife Victoria Olo and their children, Hayley Michelle Jacobs and Anthony Wade Jacobs, Jr., all of the home, Vernon Lynn Hunt, and Leangelo Scott; one daughter, Kamesha Scott; five sisters: Sandy Jane Bullard, Shirley Dial, Mary Ann Locklear, Carolyn Sue Chavis, and Peggy Hunt; two brothers, Bishop James Earl Hunt and Bishop James Bowman Hunt; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC. Burial will follow in the Clark Family Cemetery, 3256 East McDonald Road in Fairmont, NC.
