Mr. Lester Eddings, age 92, of 58 Lark Ave., Lumberton, was born on November 27, 1921 and departed this life on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela Mae Eddings, his parents, Joseph and Rose Lee Eddings, one son, Lester Eddings, Jr., seven brothers, and two sisters. Mr. Eddings is survived by his sons, Samuel Eddings and wife, Geraldine, of Little River, SC, Don Eddings and wife, Mary Ann of Lumberton; two daughters, Betty L. Ervin and husband, Danny, of Loris, SC, and Edna Lee Geressy of the home; three granddaughters, Annette Locklear, Sherry Hunt, and Dertia Locklear; one grandson, Mannix Eddings; four great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Walter and Curtis, and a host of relatives and friends.
