Leonard Oxendine, Jr. departed this life on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the age of 57. He was born in Carteret County, NC on November 10, 1967.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Oxendine, Sr.

Leonard is survived by his mother, Lillian Oxendine of Pembroke, NC; 2 brothers, Glenn Oxendine and Terry Oxendine (Lisa); 3 sisters: Brenda Hunt, Rose Leggett, and Sandra Baker; a brother-in-law, Jerome Baker; 2 children, April Hunt and Leonard Atrail Oxendine; a granddaughter, Kenzley Grace Oxendine, and 2 other grandchildren. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, whom he loved as his own.

All who knew Leonard can say how much he loved his family and friends and was not ashamed to express his love. His love for music was outrageous. We will miss him dearly.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Lawrence Garner officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens, 3720 Old Whiteville Road in Lumberton, NC.
