Leola Lovette, daughter of Willie F. Lovette and Ida Kinlaw Lovette, born April 5, 191 in Robeson County, passed away on August 28, 2013 after a brief illness. She was in the retail business many years, retiring from the Fabric Center in Biggs Park Mall of Lumberton in 1986. Leola was a devoted Christian and member of Newgate Alliance Church of the Christian and Missionary Alliance and served in many areas of the church during her life. Leola loved nature and was an avid gardener of both vegetable and flowers. She is survived by her sister, Clara Lovette Luxton, of Lumberton; her sister-in-law, Edith Lovette; and several nieces and nephews.
