Lenwood Ola Nichols, age 84, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Wayne County, NC on August 20, 1930 to the late Clifton Ola and Esther Turbefill Nichols. He retired as a supervisor for the Merita Bread Company. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Mr. Nichols is survived by his wife, Jimmie Lou Allen Nichols of the home; sons, Clifton Nichols and wife, Allison of Tega Cay, SC and Terry Kinlaw and wife, Susan of Lumberton; daughters, Patricia Demann of Fayetteville and Cindy Collins-Walters and husband, Jim of Lumberton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Zion Hill Baptist Church with Rev. LeRoy Burke and Rev. George Conner officiating. A time for visitation will follow the service.
