Lenora Hunt Locklear, departed this life into God's hands on Friday, January 31, 2025 at the age of 67.

Lenora was a loving Christian, wife, mother, and best friend. She was a member of Kingdom Place in Lumberton, NC and a enrolled member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.

She retired after 46 years as a Nurse having worked in Med Surg., ICU, Psychiatry, Home Health, Cardiac Rehab, Utilization Review, and Hospitalist Program during her career. She earned a Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing from Robeson Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Julish Ray Hunt and Hazel Mae Hunt; and a brother, Fredrick Ray Hunt.

Lenora leaves behind to cherish her memories; her husband, Eric Locklear of the home; a son, Hunter Locklear of Lumberton; two brothers, Kenneth Hunt of Fairmont and Julian Monroe Hunt of Prospect; three sisters, Patricia Hunt (James Robert) of Fairmont, NC, Vanessa Hunt (Billy) of Rowland, NC and Tarassa Hunt of Lumberton, NC; a great-niece and great-nephew, Adalin and Acelon Hunt of Fairmont, NC; two special caretakers, Jan Sellers and Doris Locklear; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday February 2, 2025, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton.

A celebration of Life service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday February 2, 2025, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton, with the Revs. Gary Strickland and Bailey Weeks officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
