Ms. Lena Bell Hunt, 88, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. She was born in Robeson County on June 6, 1928 to the late Andrew & Lillie Hunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stacy Hunt; two daughters: Sharon Kay Hunt and Peggy Hunt; two brothers: Governor Hunt and Datry Hunt; and a sister, Isabel Hunt Sealey.

She is survived by four sons: Stacy Hunt, Jr. and wife Jessie, Samuel Hunt and wife Katherine, Timmy J. Hunt and wife Betty, and Teddy Ray Hunt and friend Doris Hammonds, all of Fairmont; one daughter, Barbara Locklear and husband Stilton of Fairmont; one sister, Donnie Bell Hunt of Fairmont; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and special friends, Glenn and Susan Hunt.

A time of visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October, 20, 2016, at 3:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Howard Jacobs and Rev. Crafton Chavis officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
