Lena Fay Britt, 76, of Knightdale, NC, passed away on Sunday March 9, 2025, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Lena was born in Robeson County on May 16, 1948 to the late Frank and Ruby Jane Britt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Britt; brothers, Buddy Jernigan, Bill Britt, Phill Britt, Ray Britt, Jimmy Britt, and Ben Britt.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories a son, Jay Britt-Brown, and son-in-law, James Britt-Brown, of Raleigh, NC; a beloved sister, Ms. Viola Britt of Lumberton; a brother, James Britt of Lumberton; dear family friends, Cyndi and Tim Lamb; and her beloved neighbors, Jimmie and Dollie Adams.

Fay, as most called her, was known for her beautiful smile and feisty personality. She wanted to make people laugh. She never met a stranger that she wouldn't talk to for hours. She will be missed dearly.

A graveside service will be held at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tim Williford officiating.
