Leila Britt Davis, age 84, of Lumberton, NC, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on January 5, 1941 to the late Leon Elery & Sarah Britt. She taught school in Robeson County for over 30 years and was an active member of Hyde Park Baptist Church. Most importantly, she loved to spend time with her family.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Britt and Morris Britt, and her sister, Janice McLean.

She is survived by her husband, Alton Davis of the home; her children, Michael Davis of Lumberton, NC and Lisa Nelson of Raleigh, NC; her grandson, Brett Nelson; her sisters, Betty Jo Britt of Lumberton, NC and Joyce Smith of Fayetteville, NC; along with several nieces, nephews, and close friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery, 5190 N. Fayetteville Road in Lumberton, NC, with Rev. Jeff Blackburn and Rev. Tim Hall officiating.
