Ledford Deal, age 73, of Fairmont, NC passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 in Wilmington, NC.

He was born February 15, 1950 in Robeson County to the late Milton Deal and the late Larue Mae Deal.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie Deal and Willie Lee Deal; three brothers, Tommy, Lonnie, and Benny Ray Deal; two sisters, Cynthia Deal and Marilyn Jackson.

Ledford enjoyed gardening, fishing, yard work. He also worked several years with his uncle JT Freeman's Upholstery Shop. He loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Oxendine Deal of the home; a son, Larry Franklin Deal (Misty) of Clarkton, NC; two sisters, Linda Hunt of Charlotte, NC and Connie Hunt and fiancé Craig of Stedman, NC; four grandchildren, Robert, Lonnie, Ava and Alexa; special nieces, Brittany and Whitney; special nephews, Alex, Corey and D.L.; and a host of other nieces and nephews that he loved dearly; special cousins, Brenda, Glenda " Cootie Gal", Lennis, George Howard, and a great host of other family and friends.

A time of visitation will be held Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Piney Grove Baptist Church 427 Gaddy Rd. Fairmont, NC. A funeral service will  immediately follow the visitation at 3:00PM. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
