Mr. Lawrence Brayboy, age 65, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday, October 13, 2016 at his home.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Piney Grove Baptist Church at 2:00pm.

Interment will be private.

Lawrence was born January 27, 1951 in Robeson County, NC.

He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Mary "Loak" Brayboy; a son, Matthew Lawrence Brayboy; a sister, Barbara Jean Hunt.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a son, Lawrence Brayboy, Jr. and wife Myrtle of Fairmont; four daughters, Mary Ann Melton and husband Jamie, and Brenda Faye Brayboy both of Lumberton, Alissa Jean Brayboy of Fairmont and Lori Johanna Brayboy of Bennettsville; one brother, James Brayboy of Charlotte; one sister, Theresa Locklear of Maxton; seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; a special friend Faye Barfield.
