Mrs. Laura Janice Mercer Adams, 82, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022. She was born in Columbus County, NC on May 21, 1939 to the late Rev. Carr Mercer and the late Reba Rochelle Mercer.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Adams, Jr., and two grandchildren, Carr Rozier and Rock Adams.

She is survived by two sons, Thomas Duane Adams and wife Willi and Anthony Byron Adams, all of Lumberton, NC; two daughters, Deborah Karr Adams and Sonya Rozier and husband Wade, all of Lumberton, NC; three grandchildren: Christopher Byron Adams and wife Amber, April Nicole Adams, and Melissa Gayle Adams, all of Lumberton, NC; and a sister, Dolli Adams and husband Jimmie of Lumberton, NC.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating.
