Mr. Larry Wayne Strickland, age 60, of Fairmont, NC passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. He was born April 12, 1964 in Robeson County, NC.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vernon Laura Miller Strickland and his father Jack Pait "Bill" Strickland, Jr. of Fairmont, NC; one sister, Carol Strickland; two brothers, T.J. Snipes and Terry Wayne Strickland and one granddaughter, Jadalynn Strickland.

He is survived by one daughter, Kayla Strickland of Lumberton, NC; three sons, Jason Strickland and wife Ashlynn of Ohio, Larry Wayne Strickland II of Pembroke, NC  and their mother, Sandra Hunt Arellano and Samuel Keith Cummings of Lumberton, NC  and his mother Jeanine Cummings; one brother, Billy Strickland of Lumberton, NC; six sisters, Peggy Ivey of Lumberton, NC,  Jackie Strickland, Gloria Andrews, and Betty Ivey all of Fairmont, NC, Kathy Cooper of Mullins, SC and Cynthia Johnson of Marietta, NC; seven grandchildren, James Hunt, Kyleigh Strickland, Jasmine Hunt, Janiyah Hunt, Silas Strickland, Elijah Strickland and Tegan Strickland.

A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 from 3:00-4:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC.
