Landis Allen Cannady, age 81, of Orrum, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at his residence. He was born on January 1, 1930 in Orange County, NC to the late John and Rosa Couch Cannady.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Cannady is survived by his wife, Jeanette Chrisco Cannady, of the home; three sons, Landis Allen Cannady, Jr. and wife, Deborah, of Hillsborough, NC, Christopher Allen Britt and wife, Stephanie of Wilmington, NC and Colon Allen Britt and wife, Sommer of Morrisville, NC; one daughter, Landa Latta and husband, Sam of Hillsborough, NC; one sister, Claudia Cannady of Chapel Hill, NC; four grandchildren, Missy Cecil, Michael Cannady, Caleb Allen Britt and Cassidy Britt and one great-grandchild, Jackson Cecil.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, November 22, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. W.C. Baxley and Rev. Tony Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park in Laurinburg.
