Lakeasha Francine Guidroz, age 42, of Lumberton, NC, passed away and went to be in the arms of Jesus at Duke Medical Hospital in Raleigh, NC on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Lakeasha was born in Fayetteville, NC on Saturday, May 29, 1982 to Bryan Guidroz, Jr. and Vickie Ivey.

Lakeasha graduated at Lumberton Highschool and then later became a speech therapist. Her greatest love was her boys and her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking because it reflected her love for family, memories, fun times, and laughs. She had strength to overcome all adversities and had warrior determination to make everyday count. Lakeasha will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her love for every holiday, her freedom to be herself, her commitment to kindness in a world that is way to cruel for gentle spirits, and she will be forever missed by all who cherished the beautiful light that she possessed and brought to others.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Shelton and Thelma McNeill Ivey; a paternal grandfather, Bryan Frances Guidroz from Louisiana; and four uncles, Arthur Ivey, Hoyt Ivey, Lordell Ivey and Ricky Ivey.

She is survived by her mother and father; two sons, Christian Guidroz of West Virginia and Camdyn Whitaker of the home; two grandchildren, Dreya Guidroz and Kairo Guidroz, both of West Virginia; two brothers, Tarl (Ryan) Guidroz of Lumberton and Dylan Corne of Fayetteville; special aunts, Maxine, LaRuth, Karen and Anita; a whole host of nephews and her very special niece, Kenzli Rayne; and to her sisterhood friends, you know who you are.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC.
