Kenneth "Kenny" Gene Tyner, age 61, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023. He was born in Robeson County, NC on October 4, 1961 to the late James Kenneth & Gloria Phillips Tyner. Kenny was a truck driver and he loved to hunt, fish, and take trips to the beach in his spare time.

He is survived by his wife, Joy Byrd Tyner of the home; his sons: Kenneth Gene Tyner and wife Teresa of Lumberton, Matthew Barrett Tyner of Ivanhoe, NC, and James Brandon Byrd and wife Carol of Bladenboro, NC; his daughters, Robin Byrd and companion Wayne of Lumberton, NC and Jill Hardin of Lynchburg, VA; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; his sister, Tammy Tyner Breeden and husband Patrick of Lumberton, NC; and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM.
