Kenneth Ray
Mcmillan
Oct 9, 1957 — Nov 2, 2021
Lumberton
Kenneth Ray McMillan, age 64, of Lumberton, NC, passed away peacefully in his home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born in Bladen County, NC on October 9, 1957 to Mr. Rudell & Mrs. Fannie McMillan. He is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
Kenneth was a devoted Christian husband, son, father, Pa-Pa, and friend. He loved both his fishing and work families. He spent 20+ years working with BMCO Construction Company. While he loved fishing and working, he loved God more and always put Him first in all that he did. He loved his church and the youth that he touched spiritually over the last 20+ years teaching the word of God on Sundays and during Vacation Bible School in the summers. His motto in life was, "If you don't want the truth, don't ask me." His honesty would not let him be anything but truthful.
Kenneth was preceded in death by three brothers: James Rodney, Jimmy, and Stanley McMillan, and one sister, Teresa "Terri" Smith.
He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife, Rose Revels McMillan; his parents, Mr. Rudell and Mrs. Fannie McMillan; his children: Rebecca McMillan, Kenneth McMillan, Jr. (Tracie), Kevin McMillan (Aimee), Zachary McMillan, Rowena Bullard-Adeyemi (Moses), Ryan Bullard (Dr. Tara), and Renee McCorkle; his grandchildren: Luke, Lauren, Madelynn, Cole, Declan, Resamarie, Rheyanna, Rylan, R.J., Tehya, Riah, Aydan, and Illie; his great-grandchildren: Rheya, Reign, Rylia, and Kasen Grey; his sisters: Ms. Debbie McMillan and Mrs. Sharon Smith (Mike); his special aunts: Ms. Annie "Bootie" Simmons and Ms. Polly S. McMillan; his beloved in-laws, Rev. Romey and Mable Revels, and Mr. Ronnie Revels (Cindy); and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Sunday, November 7, 2021, from 1:00-2:30 PM at Elizabeth Heights Baptist Church, 2315 Collins Street in Lumberton. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM with Rev. Ricky Burnette, Rev. Graylen Mitchell, and Pastor Larry Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow at Lumbee Memorial Gardens, 774 Moss Neck Road in Lumberton, NC.
