Kenneth Hunt, 72, of Fairmont, NC, passed away on August 26, 2025 at home surrounded by his family.

He was a God-fearing man whose heart was rooted in family, carrying a quiet strength and a love that drew people close to him. Kenneth's life was marked by deep faith, hard work in construction, and joy in the simple things—whether in the woods hunting, casting a line on the water, or gathered around the table with loved ones. His dedication, strength, and love touched many lives, and his memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew him.

To his granddaughters Megan, Madison and Jordyn, he was "papa" in name but Dad in every way that mattered-A steady hand, a safe place, and the greatest love they've ever known.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Geraldine Hunt, of the home; three daughters, Leslie Hunt of the home, Cynthia Pardue (Grady) of Fayetteville, and Pamela Duran of Lumberton, and two sons, Kenneth Dewayne Hunt (Melissa) and Anthony Carter, Jr. both of Lumberton; three brothers, Willie James Hunt and Harold Hunt both of Fairmont and Bobby Mitchell of Laurel Hill. He was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Kenneth also leaves behind his best friend Randolph Oxendine and a special nephew Chad Hunt.

A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 2;00-3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. The funeral will immediately follow in the chapel at 3:00PM. Burial will follow in New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church Cemetery, 3396 Ina Church Road, Rowland.
