Kenneth Wayne Brown, known to many as Wayne or "WB," passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the age of 69.

Wayne was a man who deeply loved his family, his many various dogs, and the simple joys of life. He was an avid collector of Case knives and will be remembered for his generous spirit, quick wit, and the way he brought joy to those around him, especially Kay whom he loved dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Kay Bringle Brown of the home; stepchildren: Craig McLaurin of Fayetteville, Renee Powers (David) of Lumberton, Courtney Blackmon (Tony) of Lumberton, and Jonathan Khan (Michelle) of Pinehurst; and the following grandchildren: Gracie & Trace McLaurin of Fayetteville, Dustin Grice (Jennifer), Cody, Amber, and Kyndal, all of Florida, Emma & Kendall Powers of Lumberton, Jordan & Lily Blackmon of Lumberton, and Alley & Markus Khan & little Yugi, all of South Carolina.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, William Kenneth Brown and Pauline Vaughn Brown, and granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Grice.

He will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the laughter he shared, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.

Wayne will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Darrin Moore officiating.
