Mr. Kelton Arnette, 86, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022. He was born November 9, 1935 in Robeson County, NC, son of the late Sam Arnette and the late Vivian Bass Arnette.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Eric Arnette; his brother, J.D. Arnette; and his sisters, Burnell Rogers and Lucille Huggins.

Mr. Arnette is survived by his wife, Georgia Rose Cox Arnette; his son, Ken Arnette (Wanda) of Fairmont, NC; his daughter, Lorna Kay Peterson (Ralph) of Weddington, NC; his grandchildren: Kena Grimsley (Al) and Blake and Aaron Peterson; along with his great-granddaughters, Ava and Loralai Grimsley; and his brother, Bill Arnette of Dillon, SC.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, at 2:00PM in Meadowbrook Cemetery, 400 West 24th Street in Lumberton, NC, with Pastor Jackie Spillers officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church, 1267 Oakdale Church Road, Fairmont, NC 28340.
