Kay Frances Meares went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 10, 2022, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 5, 1947 in Lumberton, NC to her loving parents, Eugene Hoke Meares and Annie Ruth Brock Meares, she worked hard and continuously cared for everyone around her. Kay was a Sunday School teacher, always active in her church, and an avid Tar Heel basketball fan and a loving friend to all. She retired from Campbell's Soup Co. after 20 years of service.
