Katie Lee Locklear of Rowland NC, passed away on November 26, 2025 age 92 at Swan Manor Assisted Living with her family by her side.

Katie was born on June 3, 1933 in Robeson County. The daughter of the late Preston Chavis and the late Lear Ann Chavis.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 32 years, before his passing in 2003, James (Loveless) Locklear; brothers, Isiah Chavis, June Chavis, Henry Chavis, James (Buddy) Chavis; sisters, Maybelle Hunt, Lucy Revels Mary Lee Crout, and Grace Galtiea.

She leaves behind brother, Claudie Chavis of Rowland, sisters, Annie Jane Sanderson of Pembroke and Annie Dale Akers of Rowland; son, Johnny Baker and wife Holli Baker of Baytown Tx, and daughter, Eva Joyce Baker of Anaheim Ca; grandchildren, Christopher Baker of Baytown Tx, Brian Baker of Amelia Island Fla, Nicole DeLaRosa and Jessica Petersen of Anaheim Ca.; great grandchildren Hillary Baker, Coby Baker, Hallie Mae Baker and Mallory Baker of Baytown Tx.,Erica DeLaRosa, Joe DeLaRosa and Daniel DeLaRosa of Anaheim Ca.

Katie always loved her church and music. She often sang in church groups. She was close with her family loved to sew and make clothes for everyone.  Everyone loved her and enjoyed being around her.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 2:00-3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont. Funeral services will immediately follow in the chapel at 3:00PM.

Burial will follow in Hickory Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 9578 US Hwy. 301, Rowland.
