Katie Hunt Grimsley, age 65, of Orrum, NC passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born August 5, 1959 in Robeson County to the late Noah Hunt and the late Alice Hunt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Grimsley; four brothers, Buck, Tommy, Tony, and Barney Hunt; her twin sister, Cathy Hunt and a grandson, Noah Grimsley.

Katie was a loving mother, sister and friend. She loved spending time with her family and she loved to play bingo with her twin sister (the late Cathy Hunt).

She is survived by a daughter, Kasondra "Nikki" Grimsley (Derek Townsend); one son, Terry "Britten" Grimsley; four brothers, Barry, Danny, Johnny, and Noah Hunt, Jr., seven sisters, Betty Jane Rowell, Patricia Ann Locklear, Betty "Darcey" Lois Turner, Bernetta Blanton, Nancy Hunt, Nora Jane Hunt, and Patsy Hunt; a special granddaughter, Allison Grimsley and a great host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 2:00-3:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road. Fairmont, NC.
