Mrs. Kathryn Sexton Ivey, age 79, of Fairmont, passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Wake County on April 28, 1933. She was a retired Postmistress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Sexton, Sr. and Jennie Belle McPhail Sexton.

Mrs. Ivey is survived by her husband, J. Wayland Ivey of the home; one son, Richard Mark Ivey of Greensboro, NC; one daughter, Karen Hill of Fairmont, NC; one brother, John Sexton, Jr. of Winters, CA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, June 19, 2012 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 11:00AM at First Baptist Church in Fairmont.
