Ms. Kathleen Hunt Oxendine, age 92, of Fairmont passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 3pm at Harvest Church of the Assemblies of God with Rev. Terry Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in McDonald Church of God Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 7-9pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont and other times at 7268 E. Raynham Rd. Fairmont. She was born July 2, 1921 in Robeson County to the late Jessie and Beadie Hunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Carlie Oxendine; one daughter, Gwendolyn O. Frazier and a son, Emanuel Oxendine. She is survived by three sons, Carlie Lennon Oxendine and wife Bernice of Fairmont, Ronnie E. Oxendine of Fairmont and Rev.Terry K. Oxendine and wife Linda of Lumberton; five daughters, Doris Whitman and husband Fred of Wilmington, Annie Nora Dial of Fairmont, Wilhelmina Eachen of Fairmont, Sheila Hunt all of Fairmont, and Tara Chavis and husband Billy of Rowland; one brother, Hoover Hunt of Winston Salem; 34 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren; a special granddaughter, Kathleen Laverne Dial and a special friend, Letha Mae Scott.
