Miss Kathie Lee Oxendine, age 65, of Fairmont, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church in Fairmont.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 3:00PM at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Revs. Ricky Burnett, Terry McGirt, Prentice Locklear and Lacy Lambert officiating.

Burial will follow in Pleasant View Church Cemetery.

Kathie was born May 4, 1953 in Robeson County. She was employed by Converse Shoe Co. for over 25 years. She retired in April of 2016 as a Tele Communicator of 20 years with the Robeson County Sheriff's Department. She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church where she served as head usher, a member of the WMU and assistant secretary of the Young Adult 1 Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Oxendine and Dora Frances Cummings Oxendine; her maternal grandmother, Inez Oxendine; two brothers, Harry and Garry Oxendine; a special and devoted friend, Glen Oxendine.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Penny Hammonds of Rowland and Junie (Terry) Gibson of Fairmont; three brothers, Walter Oxendine (Janice) and Terry Oxendine (Cathy) all of Fairmont and Larry Oxendine of the home; a special niece, Amanda Hammonds and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted and loving friends who were by her side during her sickness; special caregivers Mitch and Joyce Mitchell.
