Katherine Oxendine Hunt, of Fairmont, NC was born November 6, 1958 in Robeson County to the late Clinton Oxendine and the late Flora Hunt Oxendine. She departed this life to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Andrew Hunt.

Katherine was raised by her paternal grandparents, the late Quinney Oxendine and the late Corrine Oxendine. Katherine loved to sing for the Lord and to go fishing.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Samuel Hunt of the home; three sons, David Hunt (Carol) of Red Springs, NC, Jeffery Hunt (Telisha), and Brian Hunt (Cheyenne), both of Lumberton, NC; two brothers, Clinton Oxendine  and Quinton Oxendine (Ella), both of Maxton, NC; three sisters, Carla Monds (Earl), and Brenda Hunt, both of Lumberton, NC, and Sabrinia Oxendine of Maxton, NC; twelve grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 2:00-3:00PM at Annease Drive Praise & Worship Center 492 Annease Dr. Fairmont, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00PM with Bishop Kenny Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
