Karen Elizabeth Hodge Hursey, age 64, of Fairmont, NC went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 20 2024 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC.

She was born May 8, 1959 n Robeson County to the late Clayton Hodge and the late Bernice Merritt Hodge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Daiford, Gene, and Wayland Hodge; five sisters, Doris Hodge, Loraine Gainey, Mabel Todd, Retha Tyler, and Nancy Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, David Earl Hursey of the home; one son, David Earl Hursey, Jr. (Annie) of Lumberton, NC; one daughter, Heather McKenzie (Craig) of Fairmont, NC; three sisters, Blinda Hursey (Randy) of Fairmont, NC, Cathy Wilson of Loris, SC, and Linda Gainey of Darlington, SC; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc. Chapel with Rev. George Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Floyd Memorial Cemetery across from the funeral home.
