Mrs. Junie Oxendine Gibson, age 67, of Fairmont, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022, at Mcleod Health in Florence, SC. Junie was born December 26, 1954 in Robeson County. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a volunteer at the Fairmont Rural Fire Department for over 19 years. She was the sweetest lady you could ever know, who loved to fish, go to races, and spend time with friends and family.

She was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Vardell and Inez Oxendine; her parents, Norman and Dora Frances Oxendine; three sons: Matthew, Anthony, and Mark Hunt; one daughter, Delaine Hunt; two brothers, Harry and Garry "Beaver" Oxendine; and one sister, Kathie Oxendine.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 18 years, Terry Gibson of the home; three daughters: Monica Hunt (Fernando), Tashia Gibson, and Kasondra Sweat (Dwayne), all of Fairmont, NC; four sons: Randall Hunt (Nikki) of Bennettsville, SC, Marcus Hunt (Danielle) of Hamlet, NC, Josh Stone of Fairmont, NC, and Terry Jaron Locklear (Tina) of Faison, NC; a special grandson, Jason "Cody" Hunt (Katelon) of Orrum, NC, whom she helped raise; one sister, Penny Hammonds of Fairmont, NC; three brothers: Walter Oxendine (Janice), Larry Oxendine, and Terry Oxendine (Cathy), all of Fairmont, NC; nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many loving friends.

A time of visitation will be held Monday, November 7, 2022, from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont, NC.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at 2:00PM in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Ricky Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in New Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
