June "Doris" Brunck Freeman, age 87, of Wilmington, NC passed away on August 31, 2015 at Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington. She was born in Sampson County, NC on June 8, 1928 to the late Urban Colvin and Annie Jane Rhodes Brunck. She previously was employed in textiles. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Curtis Mitchell Freeman; and a brother, Harley Thomas Brunck. Mrs. Freeman is survived by brothers, John Oscar Brunck (Etta) of Willimington, and Howard Ray Brunk Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Lisa Freeman, Molly Freeman, and Jonathan Robeson; one great-grandson; and one great-great-grandson. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton with Pastor Larry Horrell officiating. A time of visitation will follow the service at Pier 41 restaurant.
