Julio Benefacio Ferreira, age 76, of Lumberton, NC died on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Bristol County, MA on July 4, 1934 to the late John and Maria Carreiro Ferreira. He was previously served in the United States Air Force and then employed as an electrician at Newport Naval Base.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son Christopher M. Ferreira.

Mr. Ferreira is survived by his wife Noreen Cabral Ferreira of the home; three sons, Bruce W. Ferreira and wife Annette of San Diego, CA, Brian E. Ferreira and Robert D. Ferreira and wife Kerrianne all of Assonet, MA; six grandchildren, Blake, Hailey, Matthew, Chaylene, Christopher and Chloe; and two special friends, John and Shirley Marcinsky.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lumberton with Father John L. Gillespie officiating.
