Judy Vann Carter Locklear, 73, of Lumberton, passed away on March 10, 2016, at her residence. She was born in Bladen County, NC on July 24, 1942 to the late Wilber and Connie Kinlaw Carter. She previously worked as a sewing machine operator for Jasper Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buddy Locklear; and sisters, Elise Carter and Wilma Carter.

Mrs. Locklear is survived by a son, Wayne Locklear of Lumberton; daughters, Janet Locklear, Tina Hucks, Lisa Taylor, and Jayla Taylor all of Lumberton; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory Inc., 809 E. Fifth St., Lumberton. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Floyd Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Tim Holden officiating. Burial will follow at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton.
