Juanita Batten Miner, age 69, of Lumberton, NC died on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Highsmith Rainey Specialty Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.  She was born in Whiteville, NC on January 5, 1948 to the late Wilbert H. and Anne Batten, Sr.  She worked in healthcare and retired as a registered nurse.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lujuana Reynolds; and a sister, Jean Batten Hinson.

Mrs. Miner is survived by Lynn "Wimpy" McDaniel who she shared her life for 25 years; step-daughters, Amy Barnes of Lumberton, Beth McDaniel of Lumberton, and Cathy Miner of Atlanta; a step son, Brian McDaniel of Idaho; brothers, Joe Batten, Jerry Batten, and Chris Batten all of Whiteville; a sister, Sandra Godwin of Thurmond; and grandchildren, Hannah Bullock, Caleb McDaniel and Mason Thomas.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, November 7, 2017 from 6-8 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM  Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, in Clarkton,N.C.
