James Ryan "J.R." Phillips, age 40, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021. He was born in Robeson County, NC on January 8, 1981. He was a self-employed carpenter and he was a loving son, father, and friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Roy Phillips, and his wife, Jennifer Ann Parker Phillips.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Rowland Phillips of the home; two daughters, Caitlyn Marie Phillips of Raleigh, NC and Lilianna Grace Phillips of Lumberton, NC; and two special fur babies, Herbie and RJ.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 2:00-3:00 PM at West Lumberton Baptist Church, 2320 W. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM.
