Joyce Leigh Stone Jackson, 64, of 9223 Old Whiteville Road, died Saturday, September 20, 2008 at
Southeastern Hospice House. She was born to the late George Thomas and Mable Alice Herring Stone on
May 12, 1944 in Robeson County.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Angus Wilton ??Rocky? Stone; and sister, Mary Lou
Cusimano.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Woodrow Jackson, Sr. of the home; 1 son, Curtis Woodrow
Jackson II and wife, Renee?? of Lumberton; 2 daughters, Janet Jackson Hester and husband, Gene of
Elizabethtown and Angela Jackson Bradley of Lumberton; 2 brothers, Earl Stone of Charlotte and G.A.
Stone of Charlotte; 3 sisters, Marilyn Rose Meroney of Winston Salem, Lillie Ann Bower of Virginia and
Epsie Faye Stone of Lumberton; 6 grandchildren, Trey Jackson III, Sarah Cathryn Jackson, Cole Hester,
Mason Hester, April Cox and Hunter Cox; and 1 great-grandchild, Laci Buffkin.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Floyd Memorial Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with
Rev. Cameron McGill, Rev. James Graham and Rev. Oneil Parker officaiting.
The family will receive friends Monday, September 22, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd Mortuary &
Crematory, Inc.
